Eric Bergstrom / Managing Director, CPA, CFF, CRE

Eric has 20+ years of expertise in real estate finance, financial & forensic accounting, capital markets and strategic advisory services. As President of Bergstrom Capital Advisors, Inc (BCA), Eric provides highly responsive capital market and strategic advisory services to real estate owners & developers on complex issues throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, and Costa Rica. Prior to forming BCA, Eric was the founder of Ernst & Young/Kenneth Leventhal’s Real Estate Capital Markets Group where he was responsible for preparing strategic business plans for public and private real estate entities, acquisition due diligence/sales advisory related to over 15 home building companies, closures & liquidations to include the Resolution Trust Corporation, Westinghouse Credit Corp., and Chevron Land Corp., workouts/restructures, including Hillman Properties, and preparing audited financial statements for real estate entities, including The Irvine Company, Bolsa Chica Co., and William Lyon Homes.

Eric is a Real Estate Advisory Board Member for San Diego State University, University California at Irvine, and Land Interests, Inc. and is also an active member in numerous real estate organizations, including a full member of Urban Land Institute.
